James Pond is the Executive Director of Transitions Cambodia (TCI). James has an 8 year military record, working in intelligence and special operations and has spent most of his life in Asia, having lived in Korea, Japan, and most recently in Cambodia. James did his MA at Fuller Seminary in California and has five years of researching human trafficking issues and three years of working directly with trafficking issues in Southeast Asia. Since 2004, James has worked in Cambodia dealing directly with the Cambodian government, international organizations, national agencies, as well as, pioneering and co-directing one of the most recognized aftercare facilities in Cambodia known as the Agape Restoration Center (ARC). In addition to developing ARC, James and his wife Athena established and started the Transitional Living Center (TLC) in 2006, which remains a successful model for transitional care to rehabilitate and restore victims of sexual trafficking. The current TLC is now under the management of Transitions Cambodia, Inc.
