Join us for a dinner and discussion on The Right to Food: exploring Food Security on a local and global scale.
We all have the right to food - to be able to live each day without worrying about where and if we will get our next meal. Why is this right not realized for so many people, both at home and around the globe? What does this have to do with power imbalances?
The evening's dinner will be served based on the way food is distributed around the world. Participants will get a chance to reflect, discuss and listen to an incredible speaker's panel who will address food accessibility, food production and what WE can do in Hamilton and as global citizens.
This year's speakers: Dr. Rao, Dr. Sorger (McMaster professors) & Julie Fleming (McMaster graduate student)
Enjoy music, interacting with others and learning about an issue that impacts each and every one of us.
